Details: $1B+ manufacturer is seeking Sr. Manufacturing Engineers for their Ashtabula, OH and Hanover, PA plants.  Responsibilities are to plan, initiate, and perform manufacturing activities for major projects as well as to develop and maintain manufacturing processes associated with the specific product lines and machine equipment. This person will direct and mentor supporting personnel on projects. Other responsibilities include;Leading capital equipment projectsDesign, plan and layout plant systems, equipment, work stations and facilitiesWork with maintenance on the electrical, ventilation, and compressed air requirementsMaintain data to aid in the costing of productsAid in training personnelDesign processes using PFMEAs and effective control plans and processesSpecify equipment that would improve processes, productivity and qualityStart-up and trouble-shoot new or re-designed equipmentEnsure EH&S considerations during design and/or making significant changes to facility

This is a contract opportunity expected to last for 1 year - Must be able to work 3rd shift! Job Description: Observe production on 3rd shift to ensure that the process is being followed. Provide leadership and direction for assigned area focusing on quality aspects. Responsible for scheduling, resolving issues, tracking material availability and advising on material usage. Responsible for attaining all aspects of production operation including safety, scheduling, quality, and team development in assigned areas. Responsible for assisting with lean and continuous improvement projects where applicable. Candidate Requirements:At least 3 years of experience in a leadership role within manufacturingAt least 3 years of lean manufacturing operationsStrong oral and written communication and coaching skills.Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, ability to guide and influence others through coaching.PC proficiency and demonstrated process orientation in approach to work.Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.Prior experience developing and managing a diverse team is preferred.Ability to work in a cross-functional environment.
